Why Is Metabolic Testing Necessary?
Metabolic testing is an advanced program offered at Health From Within Family Chiropractic to address nutritional deficiencies which may contribute to our patients’ health issues. We have found that conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, gut health issues, and others, are impacted by changes in diet and nutritional supplementation.
After testing is complete, we work with our patients to establish a nutritional plan to address the missing nutrients and improve their overall health.
Getting Started
The first step is to determine if there are any deficiencies in your body. Nutritional protocols—blood work, urinalysis, and saliva genetic testing—are done using at-home kits. You will send them directly to the lab for processing.
When the results are ready, we analyze them, and with assistance from a naturopath, put together a 3-6 month plan of supplementation designed to meet the missed needs. At our practice, we recommend high-quality supplements from Designs for Health and MaxLiving. If you are using similar quality supplements, you may certainly continue to do so.
Another important part of the process is finding a meal plan that works for you. You’ll receive recommendations from various plans, depending on your nutritional needs. These may include paleo, keto, low carb, intermittent fasting, and others.
The timing of your meals, gluten or dairy sensitivity, and other factors are considered when creating your plan. Some patients may need to undergo detoxification to correct gut issues or remove heavy metals and other toxins from the body.
Retesting is done after 3-6 months to assess your improvement, and make adjustments as necessary. Our goal is to get you to a maintenance lifestyle.

While we do have current patients in this program, people from around the country are welcome to participate. Since the testing is done at home, everything can be done remotely.
